qcr flyer This past Saturday we had the good fortune to play w/ two AMAZING bands from the San Francisco based record lable, Queer Control Records. QCR is a non profit record label that exists to promote LGBTIQQ music and musicians; to sponsor special events involving the public performance of LGBTIQQ music and musicians; and to provide musical education and instrument instruction for aspiring LGBTIQQ musicians.

Joining us on the bill last night were Once a Pawn from Lincoln Nebraska, and Pariah Piranha from Harrisburg PA. Check them both out because they’re fantastic.

Not only was the music terrific, but we were able to raise over $400 for AVOL, which is a Lexington based non profit that is committed to providing education, outreach, and advocacy about HIV and AIDS in Central and Eastern Kentucky.

Finally, look out for a review of the show in the next issue of North of Center.
